Flying into SJO and out from Liberia Airport (LIR)
This itinerary packs a lot into a 10 days-long vacation. This route takes you to the top 4 distinguished tourist destinations in Costa Rica: Irazu Volcano, Manuel Antonio, Arenal Volcano, and a dazzling North Pacific beach. You can explore and enjoy tropical nature, take in some beach time, and rush some adrenaline into your body.
Day 1: Arrival and stay overnight in San Jose. Optional City Walk for early arrivals.
Day 2: Day trip to Irazu Volcano to be astonished by its “lunar” landscape, drive through the ruins of the old parish and the splendid Basilica of Cartago to reach Lankester Botanical Gardens, with its impressive collection of orchids and other tropical plants, to finally end enjoying breathtaking views and verdant landscapes in Orosi Valley before to return to your hotel.
Day 3: From San Jose to enchanting Manuel Antonio at Central Pacific coast, set high above the celebrated National Park, boasting world-class views and beaches. We will stop on the way in the famous Crocodile Bridge and also in the cosmopolite Jaco Boulevard for a drink to stretch the legs
Day 4: Morning trip in the National Park spotting plenty wildlife: monkeys, sloths, iguanas, toucans, and more; plus free beach time afterwards. Just imagine sparkling white sandy beaches, shimmering blue water and the fresh ocean breeze. In the afternoon you will find plenty options such: Kayak tour along magical coastline, Spice Tours into the forest, Jungle Horseback riding, or sail away on a Catamaran for enjoy the sunset in the ocean.
Day 5: From Manuel Antonio to Arenal Volcano passing through picturesque hamlets nested in rolling hills with sugar cane and coffee plantation. Rising above the rainforest that surrounds its base, this perfect cone shaped and inactive volcano frames the skyline with impeccable symmetry.
Day 6: Day trip in Arenal Volcano. We offer the service of one full day of transportation from your accommodation to selected variety of attractions, such as the magical Fortuna waterfall nested into a canyon covered by rainforest, hike old lava trails in the slopes of Arenal Volcano, take a horseback ride through impressive landscapes, enjoy a rainforest chocolate tour, immerse yourself into Costa Rican farm culture in an organic cultivate land, visit a wildlife refuge or take a rainforest canopy bird view through amazing walk ways hanging from the trees. Our staff will be available from 8 am until 5 pm to drive you around but the entrance fees are not included in this offer.
Day 7: From Arenal Volcano to Coco or Hermosa Beach, on the graceful Northern Pacific Coast. On the way we will stop in the acclaimed Llanos del Cortéz Waterfalls and a Wildlife Rescue Center that provides a temporary home for wild cats and other animals that have been injured, orphaned, or confiscated in the illegal pet trade.
Day 8: Day trip to Canyon Adventures: nearby at Rincon de la Vieja National Park, where you can enjoy zip lines through dry forest canopy, rappelling and rock climbing at a river vertical cliff, experience white water rafting or tubing, and a superb horseback riding, to later on indulge yourself among Volcanic Mud Bath, and Hot Springs.
Day 9: Leisure day in the most stunning beach of North Pacific coast where you could catch a Catamaran to silently glide along Guanacaste Gold Coast while passing some of exotic bays, white sand beaches and tropical jungles. Stop in a tranquil bay; drop anchor and frolic in the blue Pacific. Snorkel in the bay or run down the deserted white sand beach. If you prefer the afternoon trip, the Catamaran will set sail and you will hear the waves slide along as the sunsets, illuminating the clouds left in the sky.
Day 10: Depart from Liberia Airport.
