Flying in and out from SJO Airport

This itinerary packs a lot into 4 days-long vacation. This route takes you to the top 3 distinguished tourist destinations in San José Area: Poas Volcano, a bit of adventure by our charming Pacific coast, and the most picturesque towns of our Central Valley. You can explore and enjoy tropical nature, take in some beach time, and indulge yourself in our warm waters too.

Day 1: Arrival and stay overnight in San Jose. Optional City Walk for early arrivals.

Day 2: Scenic drive via large coffee plantations to celebrated Poas Volcano, the largest active crater in the world, and to impressive La Paz Waterfall Gardens, where beyond magnificent cascades, tour includes rescued wildlife exhibits in a rainforest setting with monkeys, butterflies, hummingbirds, toucans,  frogs, wild cats,   and many birds and animals.

Day 3: Adventure day in the Pacific coast visiting the famous Crocodile Bridge and either a smooth ride through the rainforest canopy on an open gondola and climb a waterfall afterwards, or ascent a hill on a tractor to glide down on a set of zip lines through the canopy. The rest of the day will be chilling on a captivating beach.

 

Day 4: Day trip to Grecia (picturesque hamlet considered one of the cleanest in Latin America and home of a gorgeous metal church), and Sarchí (known as the Cradle of Costa Rican Artisans because the abundance of workshops that work in fine woods), visiting a waterfall on the way.

Day 5: Leave from San Jose Airport.

Day trip to Arenal Volcano, including hot springs and ONE of these attractions: check a magical waterfall nested into a canyon covered by rainforest, hike old lava trails in the slopes of Arenal Volcano, take a horseback ride through impressive landscapes, enjoy a rainforest chocolate tour, immerse yourself into Costa Rican farm culture in an organic cultivate land, visit a wildlife refuge or take a rainforest canopy bird view through amazing walk ways hanging from the trees.

Day trip for White Water Rafting at Pacuare River including breakfast, a 3.5 hours journey with along 18 miles on this spectacular river passing through rapids class 3 & 4, and typical lunch once the rafting is over and adventures took a shower and changed for dry clothes.
