Traveling along the picturesque footprints of Poas Volcano, the first stage of this trip is in Los Chorros: a large, splashing river dashed against rocks and boulders as it made its way around to merge with a fantastic waterfall.  Our next destination is considered one of the cleanest towns of Latin America: Grecia, home to the only Metal Church in Central America and a national monument that fills its inhabitants with pride. In order to catch a glimpse of local culture there is a scheduled visit to the Central Market. The last stop is the colorful town of Sarchi, known as the Cradle of Costa Rican Artisans because of its fine workshops. Here you will have time to enjoy a well-tended botanical garden of over 1 mile of trails winding through more than 2000 types of clearly labeled plants, including succulents, fruit trees, palms, heliconias and orchids. Lastly, you will witness

the artistic work of the local artisans as they create the famous typical oxcart, kaleidoscope-colored replicas of the country’s original coffee bean truck. There will be time to shop for that special souvenir to take home. Recommendations: Light jacket, comfortable shoes, and bug spray.   6-7 hours.
