This tour begins with a drive close to the southern end of the road into one of the most remote location in the evergreen Costa Rican Caribbean coast. This trip consists of a loop, paddling in and hiking out. After a safety briefing we will embark in a magical kayaking journey paralleling a lush coast full of breathtaking cliffs, splendorous shoreline, misterious caves, and the most amazing rainforest. After a while of paddling we will take a needed break at the beach to relax, swim and enjoy some nicely presented fresh fruit and snacks before hiking to Punta Uva point. There, you will learn some insights on the eco system of this wildlife refuge, as during a nature walk into the rain forest, you could learn about medicinal plants, let your senses discovering new fragrances, new flavours and the origins of some that you have already experienced, but have not known much about -and doing this in the middle of the exuberant rainforest, surrounded by an intense array of wild leaves and flowers. Imagine learning about an almost unbelievable diversity of plants, and tasting exotic fruits that you didn’t even know existed. The birds benefit from all this diversity that supports a proliferation of wild birds in the area, including the gorges Toucans and dozens of tanagers

Therefore, we will then hike back to Punta Uva beach to take the van back to your accomodation.  Duration: 4 hours Departure: 10:00 a.m.
