Eco-tourists and wildlife enthusiasts will be blown away in our exhilarating whale watching and dolphin encounter at Ballena Marine National Park.  From observing pods of dolphins performing acrobatics to witnessing a humpback whale teach its baby to breach, or from granted the opportunity to hear the whales’ song to visit the gigantic natural sea caves of Playa Ventanas, this tour allows you combine your five senses to create a powerful experience connecting you with nature!

The Boat departs from Uvita Beach and visits the famous Whale’s Tail Tombolo, and set of Islets to check the coral and rock reefs to snorkel and observe the wonderful marine wildlife. While cruising in the boat you can enjoy the scenic beauty of the coastline and observe the diversity of shore and pelagic birds nesting and roosting in the Islets of the park while search for Humpback Whales. These impressive marine mammals visit the waters of Costa Rica between mid-July to late October (Southern Humpback Whales), and again in mid-December through late March (Northern Humpback Whales) as they migrate to and from feeding and mating grounds.

During the trip our captain will take you to the caverns of Ventanas Beach where you can observe wonderful rocky formations and an amazing caverns that were sculpted by the ocean and tectonic movements during thousands of years.  This tour leave daily at 8.30 am and 1:30pm Duration:   Approximately 3.5 – 4 hours

What to bring: Small bags to safeguard personal belongings, sun block, shorts, bathing suit and towel, sandals or flip flops. During the rainy months (June to November) we recommend bringing a rain coat or poncho
